Took the Scupper Pro and fly rod to the Barge Canal by the Port of Sacramento last Sunday.
Launched at 5pm. for the evening bite.
Tossed a chartreuse Clouser opposite the launch area for 3 small but strong LMBs and 1 feisty Crappie.
Paddled down to the turning basin and blind casted around the pilings and open water for no striper love :smt012
On the paddle back to the launch bait was jumping all over!
It felt good to get OTW after a couple of non fishing months.
If anyone wants to meet-up near the Sac area let me know.
I can usually fish after 5pm weekdays and sometimes can get away on a weekend day.

I like to check out the boats at the port. Nice place to fish too.
Thanks for the report and pics Tony.

That is one of my favorite places to fish.  Stripers are hit and miss, but when there is a boil, those schoolies are a lot of fun.  Nice crappie!
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.
