My brother, friend, and I launched out of Discovery at 5:30 and had lines in the water by 5:45. We fished until about 2:00PM when we decided to go explore a bit. The water was 62 degrees and a little stained. I've seen a lot cleaner water this time of year. There were about a dozen boats between the mouth and Capitol ave. bridge, but no nets flying until my brother managed to catch his first ever salmon. 14lb chrome female caught at 10:00AM on a k14 kwikfish with a sardine wrap. I usually see at least one jumper or fish rolling at the surface, but nothing this time.

I'm guessing the fishing will improve the later we go. We'll probably go out as much as possible until the end of the season. I love relaxing with lines out and the chance of catching a nice fish certainly doesn't hurt.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

We were in my pb. I'm not sure I want to risk being out in that section of the river with all the pleasure boaters out there.
