I am looking for a fishing budd(ies) to fish up in the Delta or Lake Berryessa for catfish and bass in the coming weekends.  My fishing friends are busy or isn't so motivated to go for catfish. I have been up to both places before but I haven't been there for a long time. It's suppose to be very good for catfish  :smt001  this time of the year. Lake Berryessa has some really nice chanel cats  :smt007 and the water is super clean.

It would be helpful if you've fished in the area and know where to go.  If not, you're more than welcome to join. I will likely fish from shore, but I have a raft also and can bring that along.

I'll be leaving from San Francisco.  We can carpool there and share any major costs.  Contact me directly at my email if interested.  [email protected]

Gordan, if you want catfish ang bigones, then go to berry! Berry is an excellent place to CATCH NICE Channel cats! Ive been up there a lot this year and seen them caught myself in good numbers and size.! Chix livers is the bait of choice their! But clams, nightcrawlers, and those stinky dip baits work too! A good hot spot is Campell cove just right of the launch on that rocky point or underneith the  pope creek bridge. Both areas are on the west side of the lake on knoxville rd..Theres lots of bass thier too, but you gotta work your baits slow and deep! Like 20ft plus deep! If its bass and catfish u want, then yea i would head to the delta like maybe whiskey slough and/or around tiki lagoon and marina near stockton! Its definetly easier to catch bass in the delta but the catfish are usually all small white catfish but a lot in the system! plus a chance at a striper as well. i would use either sardines or anchovies in the delta! Its a even chance at both [places..good luck bro and post a report! fishworks

Thanks for the great information(fishworks).  I'll definitely give Berryessa a try before it gets too cold.  I love the delta too because there is just so much catfish there and also small stripe basses.  Still looking for a buddy to there.  Contact me directly: [email protected]

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Thanks for the info on the recommended intakes of various fish from Berryessa.  Good to know.
