TOMORROW SAT 8/28 last minute call for kayak escorts - Alcatraz Swim

You know you always wanted to be an escort - now's your chance.

Water World Swim http://www.waterworldswim.com is hosting a small event tomorrow morning from Alcatraz to the beach at St. Francis Yacht Club.

SandMan (Gary) and I will be there but we still need a 2 or 3 more kayaks for this swim. Pay is $50.
Kayakers should plan to arrive at Aquatic Park/Hyde St Pier by 6:30am. (jump time approx 7:15)

This is a quick & easy paddle. Only one way - you can hitch a ride out on one of the boats.

Escorts/pilots are swimmers' first line of safety; the job is simply to keep them together, guide them in the correct direction, protect them from boats, and signal for help if there is an emergency.
