Jack- where ever you park, you can camp in your truck, I like to camp close to the inlet, we can shark fish from the road right there at night, walk down to Smileys for some action... but i like to launch around the bend at the other beach access, we just drive over in the AM. No beach camping allowed but we go stealth in our trucks its OK. Compass is a must here, sometimes you cant see for over a half mile, the buoy is 3 miles due south, easy to find and hear, but bring 2 compasses just in case. And a big net. Experienced company a must too....Check out the western outdoor news, lots of fatties getting caught right there now.
I like to troll with a release lead, watermelon apex lure. Wacky Jacky has been nailing them.

Great minds think alike. I just realized yesterday saturday is the day I've been waiting for since the wind ouside stopped again. Same plan, except the overnight. Troll towards the bouy looking for birds. Maybe do some mooching to get down.
I'm glad you posted Ben because I forgot about the fog. I just looked at a few web cams (there was a big boat off Muir just now),
and it didn't look good for me. I'll have a tray of chovies if anybody wants a few.

I'm really interested in going.  I've never fished out of Bolinas before.

Are you thinking of fishing Saturday or Sunday?  The ocean looks a little more calm for Sunday, but Saturday isn't bad either.  Launch at what time?

I don't know about Ben, I'm going tomorrow, early. If you don't go early you won't get a good parking spot. In case you don't know the put in is at the end of Brighton Rd. You could launch from Warf rd. too but then you have to deal with the channel. If it's foggy I'll be fishing for buttts near the beach 'till it lifts. I'll have my radio on scan.

Its Sunday for me, maybe not overnight this time, but one of these days. 7-7:30? North launch by the tennis courts....
