Now you guys have me all paranoid that my 25# mono may not hold up if I do get hook up.  :smt009   Guess I'll throw a 10' topshot of 40# mono just to be safe since my leader is only ~18" long.

I'm down with a cold.  There's always something...
Anyway, good luck all!

You guys will be fine. Just set your drag properly BEFORE you hook up and all will be well.  :smt004

I just got a voicemail from SteveS.  His buddy Warren was in San Pablo Bay today and said it was almost unfishable due to so much debris drifting down from the Sac and the Delta.  I hope it isn't too bad around the duck blinds where we plan to fish.

At the Fred Hall Show yesterday, charter boat captain Barry Cavenero said that Rio Vista and the Delta was unfishable due to the flood debris.  He even warned us to expect the crap to be flowing into the bay soon. :smt011

If it's really that bad, my plan B will be Oyster Pt, Alameda Rockwall, or the Oakland Airport.  Those areas should be unaffected.  Cross you fingers!

You guys with 20 or 25# main line will be fine as long as your leaders are heavy.  Like RH said... proper drag and don't horse the fish and you'll be fine.

Chuck... interesting about the debris... We'll follow you for plan B if necessary.

Hey, guys. Leave Cellular phones on, in case that we need to fall back to plan B. See you in Buck's first.

Man, I'm thinking I'm going to just head directly to Alameda. :smt010

Coastside has reports that San Pablo is full of tule debris - spend all of your time clearing your line. How long does it take to flush all that out?

On the plus side, Coastside also has reports of sturgies being caught out of Oak airport, a couple reports of using herring.

Chuck, any suggestions on a bait shop around there?  Grand St. in Alameda the best option?

Channel 3 news is having a segment on bay debris at 11 tonight.

Please report on that news segment.

I'm not sure I want to make the trek from SC if it is going to be a waste of time....
