My brother and I got on the water in the south cove about noon. We paddled out to the north side of the North cove for some ab diving. Vis was terrible but we still managed limits, all small. We then found some kelp and on the first drop landed a nice blue. We only fished for about an hour, due to the late start and the long drive home but managed 6 fish each. Had a great day. We are new to the sport, this was only the second trip out and we are hooked.

When we arrived I spoke with 3 gentleman, they appeared to be in their 60's one in his 70's. They were heading out in their kayaks. I was impressed they are still out there making it happen. I hope that i am able at their age to still hit the water for some abs and fishing.

Great report.

Vis was terrible but we still managed limits, all small.

I dove there yesterday and you are right, the viz sucked big time. I actually dove there twice. Lost my ab iron right off the bat and spent 40 minutes trying to find it. Went back to the beach, drove to a friends to borrow an iron and came back for more punishment. Also managed a small limit.

They were ab diving. I didn't get the count but they said they got some.
