Seeking sturgeon trip

Have yak, will fish.


Fun angler seeks pals to show him what is what in San Pablo Bay.

Seeking sturgeon, but will not turn nose up to striped bass or large leopard sharks.

Easy going, will bring beer.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I've never been out on the bay and would love to join in on this also. I've always wondered how you unhook a shark from a yak ... besides very carefully.

safer bet : just cut the line when you have a big shark right next to you. I've landed two 46-47 inchers from Coyote Point and San Pablo Bay and I made the mistake of bringing 'em on board both times. They do the "death roll" (just like crocodiles & alligators do when feeding) on you and your line just wraps around their bodies and creates more problems when you're trying to release them safely. Just my 2 cents....
