I found one of those isopods in a Ling's gills last year!!

NASTY!!!! But kinda cool too!!  :smt005

I had a 10" version of those bugs in a floating restaurant in PI.  I thought it taste just like lobster meat but a little sweet.  With soy,lime and rice it was delicious.  It really looks like a walking lobster tail from above.

Kuya Rey,
they call them in Cavite (Province near the coast) as Calamantaha (alupihang dagat).. they really taste like lobster probably better.. its just hard to take the meat out its shell

I've found them in probably 30% of my lings and ocean caught halibut. Those little muthers bite, careful when handling them.
