I missed out on last weekend's epic conditions/fishing, and want to go.
Friday would also work but the conditions look a little better on Thursday.

Won't go out there unless I got company... I might need someone to take a picture of me crapping in my pants as the landlord circles my yak...

I got Friday off John!! Was gonna go bouldering up in Marin, but am now thinking of getting salty instead...

If you can't find someone to go Thursday and the WX is doable Friday I would be stoked to go with you!!

Hell Yeah!  You got the serious fish mojo lately... maybe it's your yak, maybe it's you... hell, I'll fish with you even if you bring your Big Yak!   :smt044  It would be my pleasure.  I still remember you assisting me for the beach landing at GS4 when the metal rod on my turbo fin got stuck on the yak and I couldn't take the fins off.

Sounds good John!!
Glad I was able to help you out at Shelter Cove!!   :smt006

Let's touch bases later on in the week to confirm/sort out details...I have never been there so have no clue about parking/launch/honey holes etc...

All I know is what I've read here that the launch/landing can be very humbling, there are some nice fish there, and some not so nice ones with big teeth and big dorsal fins!!

Sincerely,

Jim

sounds good.  I too, have never fished there before (even though it's closest to home for me).  And yes, I've heard of all the yard sales at BH, and the GWS sightings.  I'll try to get some intel on the place and touch base.  thx.

It is now a Friday.  Hope you can make it.  Even if you can't, send us some intel on BH!
Don't need GPS co-ordinates, but some general info (e.g. "launch and go right", "launch and go left", or "shut up and fish").

Sledge and I will leave my house at 5...at beach by 6.

Will take our time scoping launch and then head out if WX/swwll is good...

I have always been a big fan of early starts...just the way I am!!

That's pretty much it. The fish are either "on" or "not'. Try a spot, if it doesn't produce pretty quick, move around. Guys had success on the big lings up north of the launch. Deep or shallow will depend on the conditions. Cabs are in shallow. We were using 3-4oz of weight min. Careful of snags if you are using heavy braid, be even more careful if you are using heavy mono.
