So, I have been kinda scarce on here for a while I know.  let me 'splain  :)

In late 2008 I was put on part time due to CA budget, and in early 2009 I was laid off,  at first I fished and worked on getting a small company set up.  this went well for about 8 months, but as many of you know, running a business is very hard and the $$ does not come in fast by any means of the imagination.  By Sept 2009 we were rather broke and Fishing was suspended to save $$(my truck gets 12mpg!).  In early 2010 I managed to get out a few times with Fishworks, Makinitcount and racinrob.  these trips were most excellent, but the stress of no $$ or job was a little more than I could handle...

then I had another relapse of my MS, a week later we were burglarized, I was on steroids for the MS, had an interview (FINALLY, after 14mos)  and got a very stressful job  (Assistant General Manager at Natomas Mutual Water Dist).

So that was 2009-2010

I am so glad I was able to make it to Ft. Bragg for MLPA, fishing with the guys and occasionally reading this, I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone on this site that understands life and pursues their passions.  You were all a great help to me as I went through 14 months of no $$, no self esteem (depression = suck), and illness....

Though I am sporadic on here, I am trying to be a better member of my community and a better friend!

NCKA is my community! :smt006

if all this is a little disjointed, I apologize....still calming the waves  :)

Jim,

Welcome back!  i didn't know about the health issues, but I did know you were looking for work.   I'm stoked that you made a comeback it seems on all fronts.   Sorry about the stressful job, but that seems the protocol for all jobs these days.

Hey Jim,
Was wondering where you went. Welcome back. Make this the beginning of a new outlook on things. Hope to see you OTW soon. Maybe make a trip to Santa Cruz in a few weeks to start things off.  I might be able to talk the wife into company in the motorhome the weekend of Pay It Forward. Until then, if you want to hook up local let me know. I'll drive.
