Hook removal technique

Here is our latest instructional video on removing a hook from your flesh.

It should be noted that you need to carry a pair of cutters strong enough to cut through large, strong hooks. Small bolt cutters or heavy line mans pliers will do it, your needle nose or dykes are often not strong enough.

It hurt just to see the hook implanted in his arm.

Even though he did it in the video he didn't mention to push down on the shank of the hook so the barb has less tissue to grab coming out.

Very good point. WE talked about it while shooting it, I guess those comments go cut out. Pushing down on it is KEY.
