I am thinking wednesday is going to be the best weather day this week. I am going to take the day off, fish and dive from the yak. It will be my first rockfishing trip this year. I think ft ross is still closed on weekdays. I have never launched from Timber cove but I guess I need a new local weekday launchspot. So can anyone come out and play on wednesday??? i am gonna launch about 7:30amish.

Ah, I think your right about Ft. Ross, http://www.fortrossstatepark.org/closure.htm.  I have been looking at aerial views of timber cove, any hints on the most favorable kayak launch spot, I guess there is some kind of private access, the Timber Cove boat landing?  Is that where you will be?

yeah, i heard there is a long steep boat ramp. you have to pay the owners to use. I think it is $10 per vehicle. It is inside that trailer park. I hope you can make it.

Hmm.. my reply to this didnt work earlier..

Im trying to re arrange some work things and if nothing unexpected comes up this aft I might be able to take wed off and fish.   Never fished there..    how is the wind protection at timber cove?   I was looking at some wx pages and wind looks to be 15-25.

noaa is forecasting 10-20kt winds. Less than ideal but Timber cove is pretty well protected from wind.

Jack did you ever get your paddle back???

Last I saw it I gave it to Zisco and he was going up to ARW that weekend, and then you were going to call me when you came through Capitola on your way back north....

Just want to make sure we get you your stuff back...

Sincerely,

Jim

And you dont think Timber does as well they both do ! the object is to launch from there and paddle out from there ! the further you go the beter the fish get !
