Got my physical today.  Cholesterol a little high, Vitamin D a little low, but passing grades other than that.

Sounds like you need to get out and yakfish, and in direct sunlight  :smt001

Yeah, i got checked too.  Doc said I was one ugly son of a bitch, but there's nothing he could do about it.  :smt009

I'm really not a big fan of the prostrate check.........especially because my doc is a guy I surf with.  I don't really have those kind of feelings for him.

Nope, I don't like it either but getting checked could save a child's father.

In addition to the prostate check annually after age 50, we are advised to have a colonoscopy once every five years, too. They put you out, you don't feel a thing. Do it, the life you save may be your own.

Another reminder, GET YOURSELF CHECKED!

My mom just had a colonoscopy done and they found a tumor much too large to remove.  She is scheduled for surgery soon to remove the tumor and have a biopsy done it.  Hopefully it will come back as benign.

Will do.

I was mistaken by the surgery.  She finds out the  results of the CAT scans today then they will discuss how to proceed.  Got that from my sister today, my mom was pretty shook up when I spoke to her last week.  Can't say I blame her.

I went back to the doctor after 5 years (never had a problem)
High blood sugar (now I have diabetes which I didn't know about)
Vitamin D so low that doc put me on 50,000 units once a week plus 2000 every day
High cholesterol

Scheduled for colonoscopy in 3 weeks.

Thanks to all NCKA for the push (I don't say "maybe tomorrow" anymore)

Oh yeah, AND I HAVEN'T CAUGHT A FISH ALL YEAR (time to cash in the WAF points)

I still feel fine and MOOCH has always been my mentor ever since he sold me my 1st kayak and all of the genuine help and time that he gave will always be remembered.

Well, poop.  Gt this message from my mom yesterday.  She is taking it well, and actually saying screw it and taking a long weekend at a beach house in Florida.

Saw the surgeon today at clear lake and he won't do the surgery.  He is turning me over to MD Anderson, because of the location of the tumor etc.  I will need chemo and radiation.  So now we wait to get into MD Anderson, the surgeon thought that would take about one week.
I'm sorry it's not better news.  We'll deal with this and be all the more better next year.
