I am itching for a trip up there. How many people are interested?

I have picked the date of friday 1/20 through sunday 1/22. I have room for one person to ride with me and another if they don't mid the backseat of the truck.  If the weather turns back I can push it back a week.

Fishing Notes:
Cutthroat Trout Season is from October 1 through June 30. Trolling is productive for anglers using Tor-P-Dos, Fish Holograms, Apex and other lures. Bank fishing is great throughout the lake with "The nets" near Crosby Lodge one of the most popular areas. Fly fishermen find success using large Woolly Buggers and streamer patterns.
Lahontan Cutthroat Fishing is productive for anglers tossing Woolly Buggers and other flies behind plastic bubbles or still fishing with bait after ice out in spring or fall.
Sacramento Perch provide a sleeper fishery. Use small jigs around springs, weeds and rocks.

Lets do it!

Brian:  I will let you know as soon as I can.  If you need to book it go for it, my good friend lives nearby and I could crash there if i had to.  Keep in mind that crossing the pass that time of year might not happen, and that the wind at Pyramid is ALWAYS a big roll of the dice.  That said, we could slay them there!

Just giving everyone a confirmation that i have reservations for 1/20 and 1/21, trailer #3 at crosby lodge. I think Joel is the only that has firmly committed at this point. If other people are in let me know so I can upgrade the trailer.

You also need a license for the reservation.

Not sure if you need a NV license, but you definitely need one from the tribe.  I am 99% in...need a big cutthroat.

Just when start to feel comfortable with CA regulations, someone proposes a trip to an Indian reservation.

I looked it up, looks like you don't need a NV license but definitely a tribal license.
http://www.pyramidlakefisheries.org/Fishingregs.htm

From this it looks like there are some other fees to consider such as a boat fee.

The boating regulations are pretty standard, but a bit complicated when it comes to kayaks.
http://www.pyramidlakefisheries.org/BoatingRegulations.htm

It seems that most of the regulations are for power boats, but it seems all boats have to have a valid permit.  However, under their definition of "boat" is the following...

Quote
1.1 BOAT. "Boat" means any vessel or watercraft moved by oars, paddles, sails, or other power mechanism, inboard or outboard, or any vessel or structure floating on the water, whether or not capable of self-locomotion, including but not limited to houseboats, barges and similar floating objects; provided, that boat does not include float tubes, small rafts, sail boards, or any other small flotation device used solely for single person recreation.

To me at least, it seems that kayaks would fall under the last clause "not include .... any other small floatation device used solely for single person recreation"
