Great!  Can you give us some sample pricing and availability on weekends in July?

SO far the 4th is booked. But price can be as low as 89 +/- on weekends. I work there on and off through out the month. If i'm there at the same time i can get better pricing, if i'm not there i can just make the reservations ahead of time. Pricing will be a little bit higher.

This would be a great location for a huge HOOKUP! The hotel is always glad to work with groups!

Their is a spa and ocean view, but no fireplace, Mendocino county restricts us from adding fireplaces. Pine Beach Inn

That is my favorite motel in Fort Bragg.  The rooms are larger and more spacious than newer motels.  The diving from the beach is great on low swell days.  A friend's high school aged daughter picked up a limit of limit of abs from the motel beach on here first dive.  The grounds are also spacious and perfect for a B-B-Q.

Yes they are! But unfortunately not in the ocean view rooms. The motel is setting on 11 acres! Their are three main buildings, one by the highway(pet friendly), 2 away from the highway(not pet friendly), and 1 of the 2 away from highway is ocean view.

Great location for pets because you have many trails and grounds for walks!

Emonroy,

Are you fishing/diving Albion on July 30/Aug1 for the NCKA tourney.  My fishing buddy from last year bailed on me tonight.  I have a place to stay not far from the motel so I probably won't be staying in the campground.  I will be looking for teammates for the tourney.

Whether we hookup or not, Albion is a great place to get acquainted with the ocean.  There will be plenty of experiened NCKAers to fish with.  The launch is easy and  unless the ocean is really rough, even inexperienced kayakers can fish the cove and get fish.  Last year, I caught my biggest rockfish in the kelp inside the cove.

Hope to see you at Albion,

Grumpy

I second the emotion about Pine Beach.  We always stay in the roadside rooms because of aging wonderdog Sophie who hates to be left behind (who does?)  A very easy roll down the path to the beach with your kayak.  Great little cove with (usually) a very easy launch.  Owners low-key and helpful.  Bargain rates off-season and weekdays.  The Thai restaurant nearby is a little pricey but absolutely top-notch super.  There are also very funky tennis courts with free rackets and balls for you to use.  Good bbq facilities where people can gather and be social if they wish.  Older roadside rooms are pretty basic and fiftyish, but plenty comfy and clean if you're not too fussy--and truly pet-friendly!

Tight lines...
