You should check out Berryessa. It has opened a bunch of campgrounds that might have some spots open. I am thinking there if the ocean is looking as windy as predicted. I wanted to run out to the lake this weekend but just didn't make it. I want to check out the new camping situations here before everyone knows it is open.

Forebay.

O'Neill Forebay in Santa Nella or Thermalito Forebay in Oroville?

Man, this is a unfortunate.  You see, back in March I'd made arrangements with my father, father-in-law, father-in-law's brother, boss, and buddy to spend Father's Day weekend at Lake Mendocino.  However, we only own 3 yaks for 6 people and it was going to cost us in excess of $500 for three yaks for Saturday and Sunday.  Not wanting to break the bank, we needless to say scrapped those plans.

Instead we'll be staying closer to home and fishing Del Valle just on Father's Day.  Bummed I'm going to miss this event.

Getting campsites up there was the other major obstacle we were facing.  Best of luck with that gentlemen.

...perhaps a weekend hook up is not the best plan at this time. With the Weather finally getting consistently better, maybe a weekday excursion would be more suitable. I know most of you work during the weekdays so please don't take my stance personal. I would just rather go out (while I have some energy) and not deal with the nice-weather-weekend-crowd.

Mike, I like the sound of a Russian River drift...can you get a couple of weekdays off? Always wanted to do an over night river drift...if it's even possible....
