Went out of Oyster Point with kmstorm64 today.  Got there at 6:00 AM in the hopes of avoiding the predicted winds.  At 7:00 AM we paddled out of the marina and into the wind.  It was quite warm outside and the water was pretty muddy.  After about an hour of paddling we had made some headway, but the waves were starting to break with a few of them breaking over the side of our kayaks.  We decided to call it a day due to the conditions and paddled back in.  As we were coming back in a few of the power boaters looked like they were calling it a day as well.  The weather conditions don't look to be any better tomorrow either.  If you are planning an outing tomorrow be careful as even in the morning the wind was up and the conditions pretty nasty.

Thanks for the heads up Michael. I'll still be there at the ARW though regardless.
I want to hang out with the bros.

Thanks, Mike.  I have been out there for a few weeks.  Are the butts still there?

On the radio we heard a pb had a halibut and one of the pier guys said he caught two hali's and one striper yesterday.

Bink pretty much summed it up.  With the wind blowing like it was we made little headway.  After an hour of paddling we had only gotten maybe to the channel marker (i/2 a mile or so?), a lot of work for the distance.  As some one famous once said "better to run and live to fight another day." We saw maybe a dozen PB's go out and I saw at least 6 come back in, so were not alone in our decision.   Bink great to see you again, I look forward to the next time.

Good call on the early return!  Thank you for the report Michael.
