It was pretty windy on Saturday but I thought I could sneak in at the mouth of the Little Truckee.

I had some company, it looked like one of the resource agencies was practicing their fire fighting skills.

I got to the lake and the wind was howling.  On the lake by 4:30pm and fished for 4 hours.  I had three hits but couldn't keep them on.  Just before calling it quits I get another hit and reeled in a nice rainbow.  It was just shy of 19 inches.

That looks real nice. I am wondering if the road into Bowman and White Rock are open. Do you know Tui?

All the creeks and rivers are running high right now and the lakes and reservoirs and filling though I doubt Stampede will fill this year.

Supposedly the kokanee are hitting at Stampede with fish in the 15-16 inch range but I personally wouldn't know since I haven't been able to catch one.  I don't know how things are at Jackson Meadows.  I don't know the conditions to Bowman and White Rock but we were finally able to get into Independence Lake yesterday where we couldn't get in last week, so things are melting off fast.

Love the waters on Bowman!  So clear, we were able to see botton at 45' easily!  Really pretty up there.  Landed Kokanee using Roostertail, leadline & white corn.   Never been to Prosser. (From my 12' alum. boat many yrs ago)
