GN, his brother Matt and I hit Paradise yesterday for a great day on the water.  Got to LL and bought a dozen and a half of spawning, near dead shiners, then off to the park.  Forgot the kayak seats for my two kayaks, so GN and I had to roll with the low rider style for the day. ( not recommended) There were a few PB out on the flats at first, and a whole bunch of yachts and sail boats anchored up.  Matt was half way out to the drop off, and realized his Hobie was taking on water because his drain plug was open, so off to the shore he went.  I had several take-downs that did not stick, and was going through the bait fast. Caught two shakers, one of which was 21.99999", the other was around 18" or so.  Matt hooked up with a nice 5.3# striper, and then shortly afterward I hooked into a nice striper, smaller than Matt's but my first striper on saltwater in my kayak.  Gabe, had a few good takedowns, and I am very glad to say, got skunked! Had to happen sooner or later buddy.  Good times and can't wait to get back out there and get one that is a keeper.  Kiel, weather was great, we missed you out there bud!

P.S. pics are on 35mm, will have to post up later.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Thanks for the report Rich!  :smt006 I never really get out on the bay much, but need to give it a try again soon.  Never caught a saltwater striper yet myself!

Savor the moment Rich, it may not happen again. Lol. I had a great time anyway. That was my brothers first keeper fish of any kind on his yak. That right there made my day. Next time we'll bring home some flatties. I really didn't have too much trouble without the seat, but I had to keep re-positioning to keep my butt from getting too sore. Let's go get em next time.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.
