How do you cast a hand line? Hopefully easier than throwing a cast net.  :smt005

Now using one off these must be a trip on a big fish trying to not put too much pressure.

I got mine from the website above....

It's kinda poor quality.  Poplar isn't the best choice of wood, imo.  Nowhere near the quality of yours, Lino.  But it will work, i think!

Spooled it with a 120lb mono last night, dreaming of playing tug of war...

Are you able to one EWB?  Seem to remember you had a lathe?

For those who haven't handled it, the beauty if Lino's spool is there is no finish and it's sanded very smooth.

The 20 dollar yo-yos have a thick, sticky finish, (right, EWB)?

Teak would be a good choice...  but any hardwood should work, I think.

Hey Eric, did you get the Dublin wood shop info I sent you? They may have the kinds of wood for this application.

me or Ericb. If you mean me I never got it.

Yeah eric the finish some sort of poly and poorly applied. Mine has some dust and other stuff stuck to it. I would think a oil (like tung or teak) may be best. I have a paddle that I made and I just need to finish it. I also want to try and make a SUP paddle.
