12/3/05 Black Point

Launched at Black point at around 7:00... paddled down into the flats in about 4 feet of water and started fishing about 8:00 with Ghost Shrimp.  Caught two dink stripers and by 9:00 or so the wind was really cranking from the north, with the tide going against the wind and it got pretty darn rough.  Was also very difficult to anchor with the wind and current opposing eachother so I headed in and fished in the mouth of the river for a while in a couple of spots and then up the river in a couple of spots for nada.  Paddled 5.6 miles in total... needed the exercise anyway.  Was off the water at about noon. 

Saw one boat at the landing when I came in that had two 20 - 23" stripers and a 47"sturgeon. 

Cold morning... was good to shake out the sturgon gear once again... now I'm ready for em.
