Any comments by folks that have done it.  Close by Belinda Point and Hare Creek Beach are also possible.   Want to dive and fish these areas.  All 3 are public access points, the first is paved and free to guests or $20 fee, the second looks like it is easy to take kayak dolly down, but I haven't done it yet.  I'm not sure about the third, hare creek.

It would be nice to have a database of launch sites for sonoma and mendocino county diving.

actually I usually camp at russian gulch.  other obvious launch areas are van damme, caspar beach, noyo harbor, glass beach, and albion.  I was looking for less travelled areas, because it seems there are tons of kayaks going out of these sites.

I have dived Hare Creek.  There are abs but I would not call it a good ab dive spot.  There is easy public access down a long row of poorly maintained stairs.  Getting a kayak up or down would be a chore.  Casper is better diving and much easier access.

I'm not gonna say too much about the diving......for my own personal safety.....you know small town and all that.

However, i will say that I have looked at it extensively for a yak launch and I think it is doable with some carrying involved.  I'm up for trying it if anyone else wants to try.  There's excellent beaches there for putting in.

I was also going to ask the Pine Beach guys if they might give a Locals Discount or something...funny you should bring this up.

I have walked into and dove Mitchell Creek access - the whole area looks decent.  $20 for access - ouch - definitely discourages locals.  it ssems the closest launch points are Caspar (south) and Noyo (north), both long runs.
