This is how it works - teams are a safety measure.  I don't want anyone paddling alone at all.  Your team must have a working VHF, OR you must be with someone from another team with a working VHF between you.  The bottom line is that we must not have any solo paddlers during the tournament (or all weekend for that matter).  I know, I'm a hypocrite because I go solo alot...  It's about the group this time - we need to make sure that, as a group, we do what we can to minimize the odds that any one of us will need assistance.  Teaming up and using the radios is my best solution to it.

So, can I hear some team rosters?  If I get your roster recorded here then you are one step closer to being "checked-in" to the tournament.  If you want to declare yourself a "free agent" (in need of a team) you can do that here and maybe even get on a team via this thread.  Otherwise people in need of teams should just solicit others at the Cove - it would be best to get it done here unless you're someone with the prerequisites (VHF and experience) who figures to easily find teammates on Saturday.

I plan to team up with whoever is launching when I finally feel like I've done what I needed to check people in and give out tournament packets - that should be around 8AM, so I guess that's too early for PK.   :smt005

I'm a free agent also, with limited ocean experience but all the equipment (I think). I'd love to join up with you EWB, and/or others. I'm still getting the hang of the rockfish thing, so will need advice.
