See if REI can special order one for your.  If they can, you can get a rebate back on the purchase if you're a member.

Or better yet, call some kayak shops and inquire if they are running a sale, since its the "off season".

Not sure if the 160i would be on sale since its so new, but you may be able to get a deal on the older, double hatch version if a shop is stuck with them.

You could try Kayak Connection in Santa Cruz.  I think they still handle Wilderness Systems.

There's a shop in Larkspur next to the ferry that carries WS. Didn't have a 160 last week.

I just got a newsletter from www.kayakfishingstuff.com. Free shipping on yaks thru Dec. 20th. (thats to a local terminal/regular price would be $50). The 160i is $850 there and there's no tax to us in CA. Any accessories are shipped free/no tax as well. I don't know how that compares, but good luck, thats one stealthy ride.

I bought mine from Adventure Sports in Sacto...1609 Watt Ave Sac CA 95864----916-971-1800

You should call ahead because I think I took the last one off of their hands.  It's one of the new models with the tank well in the back.  If they don't have one maybe they can order one for you?  They were up front about their merchandise and held onto this one for me when I phoned because they knew I was making the drive up from the Bay Area.

I suspect that you've done your research but I can verify that the Tarpon 160 is a good choice.  I had a chance to do a bunch of test drives at the September Coyote Point Paddlefest and felt really comfortable with this ride.  I haven't taken it out in the surf or caught anything of weight but I'm in the process of adding on some gear so I can boost up my fish counts.  On its maiden voyage I met Mooch, Chuck E, SkyBoy, Elric, Troy and Bob fishing for San Quentin stripers.  Troy and SkyBoy have good basic setups on their Tarpons so they've given me some inspiration although I'm not ready to stand up in my yak and let it fly like Joe did.  Mooch and Chuck E gave me lots of fishing as well as safety information on that trip as well...they should put on a fishing seminar for newbies like me.

If you have any questions or if anyone wants to take out my Tarpon for a test drive...let me know and I'm more than happy to share.  I'm not sure about bluekayak, his idea of a short cruise would probably take hours, LOL
