I might stay overnight and fish sunday as well.  If I do, I will be out at 6:00 or 7:00 AM again.

Hello All,

This site is great!!! My friend and I are new to Kayak fishing and we were thinking of going out somewhere on the Monterey Peninsula for rock fish. Can some one suggest some good locations that are easy to launch from? I read a lot about Stillwater but it seems it will be crowded....Amy help is greatly appreciated...

Thanks,
George (Viper_99)

This outstanding wind site is generally very accurate.  I don't think the weekend is looking good at all.

Monday looks good but Sat and Sun looks only good for like Capitola Reefs.

George,
An easy launch would be at Lover's Point, easy paddle out to the RF area.
I am scheduled to go out tomorrow but my buddy got a contagious pink eye and back out.
PM me tonight and we'll see if we can go out together.

Going Fishing?
Winds from the south, hook in
    the mouth.
Wind from the east, bite the least.
Wind from the north, further off.
Wind from the west, bite the
    best.

I couldn't fish but I was able to get in the water off Point Lobos today, on the north side in an inflatable.  Good size swell (~15 feet) with lots of wind chop.  Be safe out there and lets hope the conditions improve soon.

Hey Dr. habanero!!!!! Good to see you might head out tomorrow to Monterey Bay.  I'll be launching out from the coast guard launch ramp. It is easy, no dragging the boat through the sand at MBK and the parking lot is 50 yards away. There are bathrooms to change, etc. See you all tomorrow am, around 0630.
