HELP SAILFISH WITH GEAR REPLACEMENT

hey guys..
pls see the Stripers at Black pt on 4/6 posting by Sailfish.

Sonny's gear was lost at the end of the day as we were loading up our cars at the launch.
He lost his PFD with attached VHF radio, license, sturgeon card, and some gear.

I was his wingman  on tuesday  so I feel compelled to start this thread.

Replacing lost gear sucks anytime but particularly sucks worse when you are between jobs. I am wondering if anyone wants to pitch in and help replace his gear..

I know he has touched many of us with his generosity and is a great contributor to this awesome community.

To help ease the sting I am asking for a small $5 contribution from those interested in helping out.

Are you sure you want to do this.  Last time I checked he was #1 on the AOTY.  Maybe we need to handicapped this fella and let others catch up a bit.

Hi Dave,

I just checked my message from the home phone which I rarely used nowadays and found a message from Jeremy (not sure he's our Jeremy/jd71 or not).  Anyway he found my PFD on the dock and he'll meet me on Tuesday to return the PFD.  I appreciated your time and effort to help a "brother" out during bad time.  If you sent any money to Dave, I'll return it to you.

good news there sonny.  looks like a great reminder for us to put some sort of identifying information inside of our equipment like name and phone number.

sounds like he pulled your phone number off your fishing license.  I guess I better make sure mine has the right phone number too!

No, I got the duplicated fishing license last Friday but can't get another Sturgeon report card.  Now that I got my PFD back, my original fishing license and Sturgeon Report Card are inside the PFD's pocket.  I don't need NO stinking report card for Mr. Catfish

Sorry to hear about the loss - Glad to hear about the recovery.
I was about to offer the extra radio and PFD I have (like new) but now it will go into the GS4 gear swap. Anyways thanks to Daviator for having a brothers back
