I have the larger version, but they say this one can fit inside a bow hatch. Any preferences here? Is it worth getting? (I need a 2nd set of wheels anyway.)

I tried it thought it was too small and not very stable, so I got 2 big ones one with the handtruck wheels which I use for all but sand.

I tried it last summer, it wasn't the wheel's I didn't like it was too narrow and the loaded yak kept wanting to flip on rough ground. If all you had to cross was flat sand it would be OK.

Okay, how about this one? I like the price and it can break down, too:

Thanks again for all the input.

The narrow rubber wheels are no good for sand! Get the big balloon urethane wheels. The pvc wheels kept popping.

The first cart you posted is specifically made for sit inside kayaks. The second one will not roll over sand as well. Especially when you kayak is heavy or loaded with gear. It will simply tend to plow into the sand than roll over it.

I just played with it and found that I can fit the wheels in my front hatch and strap the frame to the top of my T13 so I think I'm set.

Yup. The wheels stuff into the front hatch and the frame goes on top. It means the front hatch is out of service on the water.
And it appears that you could still stuff a few rods into the rod pod, as long as you slid them to the back.

I'm going to try hauling two yaks on it (it says 176lb payload). That would solve some problems for long carries to the water.

I use the same storage method to secure the larger, balloon tire cart in my T140, tires in the hatch and frame strapped in the tankwell.

I've used the "classic" style roll-eze (with the smaller black all-terrain tires) to carry two loaded scrambler XT's over a serious trail. It held up just fine. The larger cart should have no prob.
