Anyone make it out today for the season opener?
Went out in MB and skunked.  Snagged some jellyfish and caught some sea salad.  Heard the party boats made their way towards Santa Cruz and had luck hooking a few...At least we know that they are in the area.  Overall it was pretty bleak for the guys launching from Monterey.  Big swells and choppy water early on.  Hopefully the season will pick up soon before it closes!
Good luck to those going out.  Be safe out there!

Hi Shadow10

Alex, Doug and I fished infront of MBK and I C&R a nice Cab in Approx. 80Ft.
We were in by 1:00 because of the Wind and Swell. Lots of Paddling
at the Second Can marking the "Boundry of PWC"
I heard over the Radio that the Salmon were in >100Ft. I may need to hit Dux. on a Pwr. Boat. :smt044
By 1:30 it was way too Windy and the Swell was picking up.

I was on my GPs pwr boat.  I saw some fellow kayakers out there and thought they were crazy for going out on a day like that!
Glad to hear you guys got some action. I'll be out there giving it another go this weekend.  Maybe we'll see you out there.
