& this is huge news? What's the name of the town he lives in again...sorry, someone had to make that joke.

I would be more inclined to defend him if he hadn't had packaging & processing stuff in his barn....

BUT, I'm pretty inclined to defend him anyway. It seems like a waste of resources considering how much of a meth problem there is in this state and country.
At least he wasn't using our public lands to grow, like some nasty cartels...

Anybody used to do the ten questions he did every year ? That was pretty cool. I used to read his stuff all the time and have most of his books(winnings) met him a few times at the shows and fished the McCloud the same day as him he was friendly didn't see him hook up but the guy he was with was slaying them saw him land a 26"er one of the most beatiful fish I have ever seen. He has gotten to Commercial (Lazy ) IMO

As a Mendocino-an, I am outraged by his behavior!  Growing pot indoors for money.........I'm glad that never happens around here.  :smt005

Seriously, there was an article in the Press Democrat the other day which focused on turning mendo into a pot touring destination, with the increasing likelihood that the green will soon be legal.  So, in addition to wineries, mendo co will also have "stoneries," where you can drive around and sample the crops.  There will be new traffic challenges here for sure.......only in mendo.

I think when and if dope gets the "green" card, most of our small towns up here will shrivel up and blow away.  That's the only thing up here that makes money.  When they grow it as a row crop in the central valley, growing out on the National Forest or in your garage won't compete.

Can't understand why he had to post a $75,000 bond if there were no charges filed.

Something doesn't seem right here... Probably pissed off the cops with an article he wrote and they are getting back at him.

Did go slightly over the limit on the possession limit though, 11 lbs.?

November ballot will have marijuana legalization this year, but I am sure there will be possession limits, certainly under the 3 lb. limit here in Santa Cruz County.

Very interesting, Dave. That's an angle I never envisioned.

They found 4 doctors recommendations. Each patient can have up to 3lbs. 4 X 3lbs+ 12lbs allowed. they only found 11 lbs and 60plants (99 allowed for each script).
I bet you they get the medicine back. If the plants growing were harmed officials may be looking at a lawsuit.
This isnt even newsworthy. How would everyone feel if their private medical records and doctor patient relationships were being discussed in the media?

Always thought he did a good job of painting a picture poetically, now I know why.  Time for cops to start looking for meth heads and meth labs and understand the differance.  Pollution/Crime/Isolation=Meth Head, and does not do much for one's modeling career either!
