Went looking for the cohos yesterday, and found them.  Had a bunch of short strikes toplining kastmasters.  Tried bigger, smaller, faster, slower, but did not matter.  The longest I had one on was about ten seconds.  Going back on Saturday with the secret weapon.

Going back on Saturday with minnows.  I have them pinned down, and should be easy pickins!  Anyone game to join up?  The two that broke water looked to be around 13 or so inches.  A guy posted about limits of 13-15 inchers.

Just got off the phone with a buddy, he said put anchovie pieces on the kastmasters, I am on my way up to try that, will be launching at Bidwell and hugging the shoreline out towards the dam area, but mainly by the last mooring ball.

I went yesterday, and that was a mistake.  Got on the water, gail force winds and driving rain hit.  Froze my tail off, did not find the fish or get much fishing in.  Put the yak on the truck, drove through town, and once I got up to speed on the highway and that south wind hit, BING, strap broke and peeled the kayak off the truck.  I have a nice hole to fix and I am just happy it did not hit another car.  Basically yesterday sucked.

That sucks big time about your yak Rich. At least it could be fixed than having to
deal with if someone getting involved in an accident.

I am going to try solar eaze first, then call that guy, thanks for the number.  I tried welding one before and it was going well, then it blew out.  I spent hours chasing the hole before I gave up and trashed it.
