Wind forcast is way down (2 -5mph) but thunderstorm is unchanged at 80%.  Will make the final call this evening.  There are 2 main reasons that we don't want to be out there during a thunderstorm:

1) Get structed by lightning (I know the chance is very low but...  :smt003)

2) If it rains hard, the rain will cover-up the clam holes and we need to see the clam holes so we know where to dig!  We want to find this...

Sonny,
I'm afraid it's time to make the call.  :smt009 I just checked Accuweather and it appears that the forecast is getting worse rather than better.  The storm is supposed to be concentrated on the coastal areas and the chance for heavy rain and thunder storms is increasing for the morning and afternoon.  Unfortunately I can't make it Thursday so I'll have to wait for the next opportunity.  Don't forget to let me know when you're going again.

Martin

Sorry Martin for the foul weather that screwed up our plan.  There'll be more chances throughout April to August.  I'll give you a call for the next clamming session.

I planned to go on Thursday unless the weather fouls up again.  So far the forcast for Thursday looks good!

Thanks

No problem.  We all can share the tubes.

Just curious - would a rubber trash bin work instead of the tube (smaller diameter version, cutting top and bottom)?

I don't think a rubber trash bin will work .  I tried a 55 gallon PVC barrel and it caved in as it goes deeper!
