Big swell coming tomorrow.  Fourteen feet on opening day.  Not sure about the weekend.  I shot some fish today at Russian gulch.  Nothing special but fresh rockfish sure hit the spot for din-din.

Glad you can get some RF before the big swells arrive.  Thanks for the report Dave.

Minus tide on opening day with a big swell.  Sounds like an enticing challenge...    :smt001

I'm saying they'll be wrong about those swells the same way the other guys were wrong about the tsunami.  I was on the north shore of maui at my new place in Haiku when the warning came.  The gf and I walked down to the cliffs above the ocean and sipped on beers while waiting for the big wave that never appeared.

About 20 feet.  But it's 10-12 ft swell out there now with nada for vis.

Hi Divers:

It seems to me that in general the Ab opening Day is usually Blowned out with Chocolate water. I'm going to hold out until better conditions.

They already had their first rescue of the season this morning just south of Mendocino. :smt011

It was so rough and the guy got pulled out so fast and far the local rescue guys couldn't launch their jet skis, Coast Guard picked him up. He's ok.
