Thanks guys, looking forward to some great gatherings this year, and some new milestones in fishing accomplishments.  First things first, my daughter needs a kayak fish worthy of a mount, so that is my goal for this year.  Then, I want to land a WSB, I went 0-2 in Monterey.  Hooked two, lost two.  Other than that, I could care less who is president, what the next right they take from me, and most of all, where So Cal is going to get their water.

I had a SERIOUS bout with PE last May. It went on misdiganosed for THREE WEEKS!!! I was a hurtin' pup to say the least. Nearly killed me, it was no joke. The most painfull thing I've ever endured. The pulmonary specialist said I was this close to not making it.... :smt011 I know how you feel brother, hopefully you recoop quickly and completly. I still feel some scaring in one of my lungs on deep inhales. ( a good reminder) I remember just appreiciating taking a full breath... never got a reason why it happened tho. Certainly helps put things into perspective. Appreciate your health, we take it for granted when everythings' working alright. Take care, you'll be back on the water before you know it :smt001

If Tote has shoulder issues still at Albion, I bet he will have a battery powered cabby crank to deploy this time!  Can't wait.

Happens often to people on long plane flights where those crowded seats make it very difficult to stretch out your legs.

Glad you're OK, Rich.

Good that you've recovered. PE's are very scary.

I think you're on the right track with the blood thinners. Nicks and cuts and normal life trauma will take a bit longer to clot. That shouldn't keep you from having fun. I'd avoid things like chainsaw juggling and motorcycle racing, and carry some bandaging stuff, but you will make it through the normal stuff just fine.

As a medic, I see lots of patients on these meds, and we just don't see them bleeding out from minor trauma.

God luck!
