The "Hobie Strike Force" launched at Black Point and pedalled about 2 miles up Petaluma river and anchor fished for Sturgeon, Striper, and Catfish  :smt003  Since this was a "well planned" trip, we all got a good workout pedalled against the tide and wind both ways  :smt005  It's windy in the early morning, flat calm during the day, and windy again in later afternoon.  Martin drew first blood with a fatty 21" Striper, Dave caught 2 big Stary Flounders and a diaper Striper, and the other Dave/Daviator got the hot stick of the day caught 2 keeper Stripers and an undersized Sturgeon.  As for me, still no Kitty  :smt002  Some pictures of the day...

Funny my next door neighbor saw a kayaker reeling in a monster fish. I was just
outside talking to him while he was cleaning his boat. He was saying that most
of the boaters around that area knows who NCKA are. :smt001

Martin saw one big Sturgeon rolled close to his yak when we got to the fishing spot.  I got one solid pulled down, swing for the fence and it broke my 30lb braid line!

Nice report, wish I could have joined the force!  I am more inclined to go with the tide each way if I can however!  I wonder if you can launch up at Gilardis?

I said "well planned" with "tonge-in-cheek"  :smt003  Of course it's better to ride the tide than against it  :smt001  I haven't try to launch at Gilardis yet but it might worth checking it out one of these days.
