I use double uni knot and it's never failed me. Others I'm sure will chime in with their own preferred knot.

I've always been really lax with this stuff and just load my reel up with the same mono for everything. Since coming here i've been inspired to step it up...so with that said, I wanna try the braid/mono set up...

Stupid question, but what method and or knot are you using to attach the mono to the braid?

i have used a modified albright or a uni-uni, dont know if they are the right ones to use but they have worked for me, cameron

We have used this knot for our customers with verry good results.
Many of our customers have used it for Marlin and Tuna well over 200lbs
