St. Paddy's Day quickie

Had a tough day at work and had a few hours of free daylight so ran down to the beach with the kayak and a few beers.
 

Windy and fast drift, but REALLY enjoyed just getting out on the yak and watching the sunset from the water.

Hoping for a flattie, but no such luck...a few Rockies (promptly released) and a decent buzz was all I caught.
 

Anyway, here are a few pics of the view.

Didn't even get off work early!!   

Got off at 4, picked up my daughter from daycare, drove home and hung out with her until the wife came home around 6, then walked the yak down to the beach!!!   

Capitola is a nice place to live....now only if we could afford to buy a house here!!

hitting the water is the nice thing no matter what is caught. I still need post my last outing.
