well went to work and got all my other priorities taken care of early, and there was still plenty of light out. so decided to head to my backyard for some quick striper fishin...launched at the mouth of steamboat or steamboat beach and started to troll down river with the yo-zuris for nothing. turned around and switched to bait at the mouth instead! immediately started to get bites from the rat stripers! ended the day with 2 lil rats in the 12-14in range and had more bites but decided to pack it in before dark! tide was low but incoming when i got there and water was clearing back to green. 62 degrees and warming! The stripers are definetly starting to bite around sac! not saying the bite is on, but improving for sure. i give it 2 more weeks the spring striper run should start! thinkin of hittin the delta now more often! GOT TO GET TEM POINTS!!!...Now off to folsom 2maro!

actually it isnt a marina....its just a private beach at the mouth of steamboat and sac r. When i mean private, its owned by the farmer who owns the property but anyone could fish it or go there and relax! but he does charge a $5 dollar fee for using his beach! its a 50/50 chance you'll ever run into him! There sum stairs that go down the beach from the asphalt but its only like 20 yards from where u would park! not hard at all and it was actually my first time launching there myself!

Nice report and pics,

Thanks for bring up a new spot to launch, Ive found some of the farmers in the delta are a little touchy, sounds like this one has a reasonable approach,
