Sorry for the late report, Mike , Joel , Edsel and I met Mike, Mike, James, Sean and Jelly for a fun day at Mendo. Weather was cold and windy in the morning but calmed and warmed in the afternoon. The fishing was slow all day with only Mike (Sturgy) and Joel landing fish. Mike employed the top secret napping technique to entice the fish to bite.

Had a great shore lunch provide by Joel and the White family. Lots of pics where snapped which I am sure will be posted soon.

Oh I also saw bald eagles today, pretty amazing!

I should have come in with you guys for the shore lunch. I paddled over to winery point and there was a small bust just around the corner 3 PBs converged on it before I could get there,1 guy caught a small fish on a white jig. I mooched ala Sturgy and caught a 15-16" largemouth and then trolled the point a few times then back to the spot we fished for a few passes. It was great fishing with you guys again. Bill said it was warm it was hot  :anger  I was in swimsuit and t-shirt and it was smoking. I think its was just too nice to catch fish.:surf
Saw Joel at the ramp and followed him to Santa Rosa where I got off, I was tired and couldn't imagine driving all the way to HMB.
It was good to fish with Mike,Mike,Joel,Edsel,Bill,Sean,James and Chris hey this is pretty cool

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Had a great time too.  Too bad the fishing wasn't as nice as the weather.  The napping bait presentation was the highlight of the day....classic.  Shore lunch and hanging around was very entertaining.   Leah showing up with whole a bbq' tri-tip was the bomb.  Thanks for the hot links Joel.  Good times!

Time seems to fly when your enjoying yourself. with Leah and the with the tritip and Joel with the chily and hot dogs you couldn't ask for a better way to end the outing.

Had a blast as always - even though the fishing wasn't wide open - you can't beat spending a day with great people! I will post pics as soon as I figure out this new system, which may take another year.....

It was great seeing you guys again. It was a mixed blessing though, now that I got out again I'm getting impatent for my new kayak. Get it together Cobra!

Stupid dull hooks, missed 2 fish because of that ... it's fixed now though.

here's mike/sturgy...displaying his new method of catching stripers at mendo (maybe we can have him do a write-up about this unique type of fishing)
