Anyone here using this one?  I like this new rod holder and probably will get one for my yak!

Those are very unique. But almost $50 for 1 shipped. A little pricy.

If this improve my chance to catch a Sturgeon with its quick release design, it'll be worth it for me  :smt003

I like the quick release, but the ram system has even more adjustability by swivaling at the base and at the holder itself.

sonny i dont think they would be any better for sturgeon than balancing your rod, that way you can see every movement.

they do look good and the reviews online are good too.  but i think i'll stick with my ram.

I think you're right about the balancing for Sturgeon.  But I think this will work great for trolling!

I've been using them and they work great.  They cost more than many of the others, but they are very well made.

Sonny,
I have them and like them for freshwater trolling.  They don't lock as good as the Orca's but they are easier to release.  If you'd like, I can bring them up to GS9 so you can try them.  I changed the post so it will fit a Scotty.
