I got an ascend kayak FS10 the other day we took it out and love it for the price you can't go wrong with it

I have seen these on line @ bass pro.  I will have to make the trek down there to check them out.  Other than checking the relative thickness of the hull, what else would be a factor in quality of a kayak?

I like the FS12T better.  A SIK in the ocean is a little sketchy for my tastes.

bass pro acquired ascend in a bid to bring plastic boat (yaks and canoes) in house to bring costs down. the price is right and the yak i bought (fs12t) already outfitted with 2 surface mount and an adjustable rod holder for drifting bait in front of you. however i was having a problem with, after a day out, a significant ammount of water had accumulated inside the boat. after a little research i found that other people had had the same problem and apparently ascend had neglected to seal the attachments on the yak ie rod holders, handles etc.

moral of the story is - if you buy this boat invest in some marine goop
