OTW with stinkytofu (Pete) and Stormscrambler (James) A little after 12. The water was very very muddy. Less than a foot of visibility. I tried hard to find the largemouth but they never bit. I started looking for stripers and finally found the right bait. They were all stacked up by this small thule island. I caught 9 stripers with the largest one going 16 1/2". Naoaki showed a little after. James and Pete left sometime around 4 I think (I dont watch the time while fishing) and Naoaki and I searched for the stripers but the bite seemed to slow down and I headed in at sunset.

Oh and I had a fun time digging out a treble in my finger  :smt010

Glad you had fun catching those shakers.  Sorry about the treble hook thing and hope your finger heel well.  Thanks for the report and pictures Jeff.

Those little guys can be fun.  Too bad the larger fish didn't want to play.

Hey, I recognize once of those rods. :smt044

Ouchy on the treble in the finger.  How did you manage to get it out?  Did you end up just backing it out, barb and all? :smt010   Didn't see the third hook treble, hopefully it wasn't buried also.

I just held my breath and backed the hook out with the barb. My finger doesnt even hurt today. Weird.

It takes a man to bury a barb, then grab a camera to catch a shot of it!

I had the exact same experience.  Thought it was going to hurt like H*LL and not even a thing.

I remember that report.  Still makes me twinge.
