I was up in the Lake Sonoma neighborhood helping a good buddy load his truck (hint) and decided to stop by the Don Clausen hatchery and see what was up. The fish count was posted at 795 but when I asked the guys cleaning up after this mornings test tube baby process they told me the count was over 1000.....that's better news. Then I visited the creek between the ladder and the fish ladder. There was no less than thirty steel head putting on a show that mesmerized me. It took all I had to walk away and get my butt back to work. A beautiful way to start my day.

Okay, someone else asked....how come my video posts twice....(now fixed)

Yup, they made a very difficult journey and hopefully they all make it back to the big blue. Stopped by again this morning as I was "in the area". Unfortunately it's not like fireworks....the show ends and you go home. With this you actually have to make yourself stop gawking and get your butt back to work!

Nice Steelie pics and vid. I want to jump in that creek and bat one out with my bare hands. Then devour it on the shore while I snarl and bare my teeth at the other NCKAers.
