I've always thought about this,
But dont you need a comercial license to sell fish.
Also thought it was illegal to sell sport cought fish of any sort.

LOL, that's not my craigslist post.
It was forwarded to me by a concerned individual who wondered if I knew the person. That "ad" sets off a lot of red flags. Still waiting for a response from the advertiser...I want to buy some fresh lingcod that was caught today lol....

I think its too outlandish to be a sting....ie, too stupid to be fake (at least as far as set ups go).

Sounds like BS a smelly anti-fishing hippy would make up to give yakfishing a black eye.

Art, you're overthinking this. The smelly anti-fishing hippies aren't THAT smart, nor do they limit their hate to yakfishers. I guarantee it's not a sting op either.
And there are commercial anglers who legally harvest nearshore rockies from the yak (surprisingly enough). But even comm nearshore season is closed right now. So nobody is taking rockies from a boat/yak unless they're fishing really deep for slope rockies...but those dudes aren't fishing from yaks or anywhere near Carmel. Hmmm, yak-commies, makes ya think huh?!
