I am liking the Idea of Beardsley more and more.
Does anyone know if there is adequate parking and beach access for say 50 +/- of California's best Kayak Fishermen?

Please give me details ASAP

Thanks,

Great choice....

I would think so, I think they got like 30 campsites and some decent sized day use areas....

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I would think it could handle the traffic.  Although it should be stated that it does get some lake lice during the summer.  I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I saw jet skiers flying around the lake. :smt011

I'll admit that outside of the launch ramp, I'm not familiar with other places to launch.  If the lake level is low, people can drive down past the ramp and launch just about anywhere.

Because of the drive, I'd think that the turnout wouldn't be great.  I'd think that 50 people would be very optimistic.  :smt002   Much of the bay area might be turned off by the 3+ hour drive.  I suspect you'll get a larger turnout from the valley folks.

It's pretty much common knowledge, but I'd like to say it again ... I LOVE THAT LAKE!  My affinity for it probably stems from the fact that I grew up fishing it with my father.  It isn't particularly breathtaking, but there is just something special about it to me.

Spicer is also an excellent alternative with a killer group campsite as well as actual on the lake camping.

I've only been there once. I don't remember it being a big lake but I'm up for it
if this is a go.

Thanks for all the help,
I have made my decisions and have finailzed the schedule.
Last year I traveled no less than 2+ hours to each event on my only day off and fed people just for wanting to join the fun. I have spent countless hours contacting soponsors and begging for suport. I have riged and given away a full kayak package. On top of all this I diden't even get my own yak wet at half of these events.
Dispite it all I had a lot of fun getting Newbe's and OG's together for nothing less than to enjoy a common bond - KAYAK FISHING.
So This is the official event schedule - if it don't work for some sorry "It Is What It Is"  :smt006 :smt003  :smt005  :smt044
