I need some local help!
I really want to schedule my Bass event for Clear Lake,
the problem is I don't have enough time to scout for a location near the water where we can have it. I am hoping that one of our fellow NCKA members in the area could lend me some assistance.
If you are in that area and would like to help organize an event send me a pm and I will let you know what I'm looking for.

Thanks,
Eric K.

Clear Lake state park. Lots of room and tons of interesting shoreline. PM Danglin he's camped there also. Plus caught a monster crappie

You can camp right on the water and there are bass right along the park shore.

Hmm, of all thing to do in a bathroom eating a meal is just a bit disturbing. :smt044

State park is a pretty cool place, I've stayed in April and it was great, I've stayed Memorial Day and it sucked (white trash neighbors, tons of mosquitos).  Good catfishing at night right off the bank though.

State park sounds like the place,
In order for this to happen I NEED an inside guy in the area who can help set it up.
If you are this guy please contact me (PM or Phone) ASAP as I only have a limited amount of time left otherwise I will have to pick an alternate area.

Thanks,

Make sure you find out about the need for a permit from DFG. If you have over 50 anglers you might need a permit. Thats my understanding from searching about one for Albion. You dont need one on the ocean.

Your probably better off not going that route... talking to that tournament director the other day, he made it sound like you can't get one.... Their Booked...

I don't know any more than that... probably best just to stay low key, it's not like people are putting entry fees and all the hoopla etc  etc,,, that goes with these Bass tourneys...

I would hope it would not be necessary.... my .03

These gatherings are just a bunch of friends who happen to be at the same place at the same time  :smt003
If it were a real "tournament" there would be a "entrance fee" and "options" and all that fun stuff  :smt011
These areas are public accessable so anybody can show and fish and chill on any day - Even Sunday's  :smt003

Eric-

I think we should be fine if we keep it as an informal get together kind of a thing. Just a little "friendly" competition between friends... you know. State Park is a great place... and April should be early enough to miss the tweekers. I think they've got a bunch of picnic tables set up by the parking lot at the launch ramp that we can use for the bbq afterwards. Plus... I've already booked a campsite. If we get a bunch of sites together, we can just congregate at a central one and let the festivities begin. County Park is right down the road. I think that place should be able to accommodate a large-ish group as well... and it's free. Either way... I think we can't go wrong. Just my .02 cents...
