I didn't know we had shrimp in Northern waters. I spent many summers growing up in S. Carolina dragging creeks with nets for bucket loads of shrimp. I'd paddle miles to come across some scrimpin waters up north here. Ah shrimp gumbo, creole shrimp, fried shrimp, shrimp kababs...

If that's the case, I still have some frozen shrimps from the market if he wants some.  :smt044

Are you in line for the "market" shrimps?   :smt003  They're readily available in my freezer, no need to "fight" over them!  :smt044

Sonny -

I am definitely going to try some shwimpin this year. Thanks for the report and info. One last question... Do you drop the trap on a rocky bottom or flat sandy bottom. The article suggest that they hang out near structure but seems risky to drop on a really rocky bottom.

Flat bottom should be good too.  No need to risk loosing traps around rocky structures!
