After hearing about those kids yesterday @ montys from the shore, decided it was good time to work with the kids on Palomar knots etc etc... and try some shore work for the line sides. Lots of training today, these guys have been kayaking and fishing at the same time most of their career , never took the time to just slow down for the basics.

Good times, slow little bites with 1 little one to show for our work, very warm out there and also got to hear the 12 or so boats coming in with TOTAL SKUNKS.....  :fart:

our baby striper may have been the only fish caught out there today....

Not sure what those kids did yesterday to slay them, but it was not on today....  :smt009

Still productive for me though....  :smt002

Thanks for the report. I almost headed back there myself today but instead wound up at Lake Sonoma.....which unfortunately.....wasn't any better. Skunked & most all pb's I talked to got nothing or 1 small trout etc. Water is still too cold & cloudy I guess. Great day to be outdoors though. Was warm out there. jim

Boy that place looks empty today. It seems every time I go out on the weekends there that place is a zoo. Better luck next time Don.

I just talked to them this morning again. They rode their bikes out to the first bridge yesterday, they only caught a sucker fish yesterday. I told them you guys didn't catch anything at the launch, they were glad they didn't ride all the way out there. They said they were out on the handicap dock that stick out on the water where they caught all their fish. At least it was a nice day for you guys.
