Preview of new forum software

I have been hinting at it for a while now and I am finally able to give you guys/gals a sneak peek. This is a preview version only and things will probably change a bit before I switch it over. Emoticons are broken right now and the NCKA logo is not up yet.

We you are testing make sure you are logged in. I have transferred accounts over so your current forum user name and password should work.

This new forum software has a TON of new features but here are a few highlights:

1. Easier picture posting - When you are posting a message click "additional options" and there is a space to attach your picture. If you don't see the picture attaching option you are not logged in.

2. Calendar of events. - This is cool for posting Hookups, tournaments etc. There are 2 ways of doing it: 1) Click on the calendar link on the top, click on the day you want to add the event, fill out the event details, make sure you choose the forum the event is related to. 2) at the bottom of any thread there is a "Link to Calendar Function" Click it and fill out the info.

I posted a sample for the Mendo hookup this weekend.

Remember this is not up and stable yet, I am still banging away under the hood, do put anything there you care about as it will be wiped up before I switch over. Do let me know if you find any issues!

I just viewed the sample web page, looks good!

I notice when I tried to log-in. I was prompt that I have used some key- characters that's not allowed in my user name (*<><Aliens). 'when you have every thing working 100%, could I request to  change my user name from *<><Aliens to just (Aliens)... I was told by mooch and ChuckE that the Astrix and the greater than symbols were causing me all the problems when I try to log-in on the main page.  Your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I made a post and tried the picture option..didn't see it.
Shows three options, picture loading not included.
According to the post, I was signed in.
I must have missed something.

Well crap sorry about that, I should have listened to the 5 other people that told me about the same problem earlier.

I checked out the calander, but when I clicked on the "Mendo Fishing" link for tomorrow it took me to the wetsuit thread in one of the forums?

Yeah I borked the link when I did aq fresh import of the forums last night. Post one in there yourself to check it out.

I am investigating adding some software that will let you link that calendar with iCal on the Mac (for the 5 mac users here) or vCal which I think goes into Thunderbird.

Also post a pic (you should be able to now) and look below the pic, I added some software that displays all the picture info.
