Hello guys.  Good to see Mooch out and about (even if not fishing) while I was out working the piers this past weekend. Hopefully you're all getting tips on where the sturgeon are.  I myself have forgone the pursuit of the "dinosaur catfish" for the ever flavorful bivalves of our muddy bays and backwaters.  In fact I've got a new movie on my blog which digs deep into the realm of the clam.  Thought you guys might find it entertaining.

Hoping to make a kayak trip to this same locale in a couple of weeks. Hopefully some of you guys are interested in big, fat horsenecks.

Anyway... here's the latest post:  http://monkeyfacenews.typepad.com/my-blog/2010/02/clam.html

Bye.

PS: If anyone wants to do me a favor and post this link to PFIC I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Kirk, great video.....what a great plot:  It was Man against Mollusk, mano y bivalvo.

As someone who has clammed in that exact spot, it breaks my heart to see it go away.  We used to paddle in there from the CC station at Chimney rock.  It is insanity.  If ever a spot was self-protected, this was it.  Between the remoteness, the weather and the tides, this place was never really touched.  Conservation madness.
